Our schedule for this fall is filling up rapidly, but don’t panic, if you call us soon, we can still do your window or siding work before the snow flies. Estimating and booking work tends to wind down this time of year, but there is no reason to get your quote prepared by my installers, who will let you know if we can do your work now or wait until spring. Just call us 519-822-5000, or Email us…..jacks2@bellnet.ca People often ask me if we can install windows, siding or eavestrough in the winter. Seamless eavestrough will expand when warm, so we try not to install the longer lengths (30 feet or longer) if the temperature is below minus 7 or so. Aluminum soffit and fascia can be installed in temperatures down to minus 10 or so, and vinyl siding can be cut and installed in temperatures as low as minus 7 or 8. Vinyl windows can be installed in almost any temperature range as long as it not too windy or snowing. And we use polyurethane and silicone based caulking which can be applied in fairly cold temperatures, as opposed to the popular but much lower quality, butyl based caulking, that most siding and window companies use, but does not apply well in cold temperatures. So yes, we can install in the fall and winter months, if the conditions are favorable, but we will only install if we can do it with the same high quality that we deliver the rest of the year!! Call Jack’s Aluminum Limited. After all, we know how to install, and we also know how and when not to install… We are reasonable but, we don’t do cheap!! Buy from your local contractor…Jack’s Aluminum Limited. We are here to stay…Since 1976. Jack K. Just a note: I (Jack Klapwyk) will be selling Jack’s Aluminum Ltd. at the end of this year. My employee, Jim Hogeveen has agreed to purchase this company and will be the new owner on the first day of January 2017. I will continue to manage for a couple of years. This is great news for all of our current and up-coming customers…unlike a number of my local competitors who have ‘disappeared’ or who intend to disappear soon, Jack’s Aluminum will continue to be around to warranty and service our work, just like we have for the past 40 years. And as I head into these final months, weeks, and days, as owner of Jack’s Aluminum Ltd., I am continually humbled by the hundreds of satisfied customers who have not only decided to buy from Jack’s, but more importantly, have referred us to their neighbors, friends, and family. I cannot express how much I appreciate that loyalty. And you can be assured that I will do my best to make sure that the high quality of our products and services continues for many years to come. Sincerely, Jack K.
